Chapter 1: Beginning
As I entered my 3rd year in college, I decided to move out. I was twenty-two and wanted a change of atmosphere. My parents were reluctant to let me go, but they could understood where I was coming from. So, I am now sitting in a cab headed to my new condo. If I said I wasn't excited, I'd be lying.
"Miss, we'll be arriving there in 5 minutes."
"Okay! Thank you!"
I'm currently attending Seoul University. I'm studying to be a brain surgeon in the footsteps of my father. I found it pretty interesting, so it's not like I was forced. I work as a nail technician part time at a salon called Harmony. When I was looking for nearby places to stay, I came across a complex of condos that were only 10 minutes away from each place. I was lucky to have found such an amazing spot!
"Miss, we're here!" the cab driver called.
"Oh. Thank you!" I said as I handed him my payment.
I took off my seatbelt and grabbed my purse that was next to me. As I hooked my purse onto my arm, I opened the door to get my luggage in the trunk. I pulled my two small suitcases out except the last one, which was the biggest. It was really heavy, and I didn't really have that much arm strength. I kept pulling and pulling, but it wouldn't budge. I was getting really frustrated.
"Gosh, where's the cab driver?!" I yelled while grunting.
While I was still pulling, I felt an arm come beside me and pull it out swiftly. My jaw dropped while I turned to see the owner of the hand. As I turned around, I came face to face with a tall man wearing shades. His lips formed into a smirk as I continued looking at him.
"Uh... Thank you!" I exclaimed while awkwardly smiling.
"Your welcome. Did you just move in?" he replied.
I nodded feeling pretty embarrassed since he most likely saw me struggling just now.
"Well, do you need help bringing these to your place?" the mysterious guy questioned.
